Benefits of Cat/Cow Pose or मार्जरी आसन योग

The Cat is an excellent posture for all pregnant  woman as is relaxes the pelvic and relieves lower back discomfort. It works directly on the female reproductive system and is an ideal exercise to practice throughout the entire pregnancy.

How to do Cat/Cow Pose or मार्जरी आसन योग Step by Step Instructions

1. Come onto the hands and the knees, the knees hip – distance apart and the hands shoulder – distance apart . The position is balanced and relaxed.

2. Position 1. Breathe in and look ahead remembering to keep the back straight.

3. Position 2. Breathe out while arching the back to tilt the pelvic forward. The arms remain straight throughout.

4. Repeat this movement 5 or more times remembering to tighten the pelvic floor muscles as you breathe out.

5. On completion shake the hands and rest in the modified pose of the child or do Pelvic Rocking.
